As the birthplace of coffee Ethiopia also is the ancestral home of the natural process, in which ripe coffee cherries are picked and dried without first removing the skin and pulp. This method imparts an intense fruitiness to the roasted coffee, and we’ve created Indigo to showcase the hallmark blueberry notes found in a natural Ethiopia. Featuring flavors of dark chocolate, cranberry, and baking spices, this blend is well-balanced, sweet, and juicy.

Colectivo’s history with Kulaktik dates back to 1998 when we were introduced to the cooperative through its Milwaukee sister parish. Located in the highlands of Chiapas, the group now boasts more than 250 members who grow coffee at elevations ranging from 1,350 to 1,800 meters. After years of dependence on outside organizations, Kulaktik – meaning “vine” in the Mayan language Tzeltal – now carries its own export license and continues to focus on quality improvements. The result is a coffee rich in flavors of plum, dark chocolate, and concord grape with a medium body. We’re proud of the co-op's progress, and we look forward to sharing this offering going forward. Enjoy!
