The Great River State Trailhead

The Great River Trail extends the La Crosse River Trail from Onalaska to Trempealeau. It features 24 miles scenic vistas of the midwest, crossing 18 different waterways including the Black River via a railroad trestle bridge. A part of the 101 miles of connected Wisconsin biking splendor in addition to the Elroy-Sparta State Trail and the "400" State Trail.  Take the Great River State Trail north to Trempealeau and Perrot State Park, or head east for another 75+ miles, including three decommissioned train tunnels. Purchase trail passes here, or in the shop.
